In this series of outdoor classes we study the stories told by animal tracks in the snow. Learn to recognize the tracks and track patterns of your wild neighbors and gain insight into their lives. All you need is curiosity and appropriate clothing. This class takes place over multiple weeks. You can choose to sign up for one class or multiple.

About the Instructor: Steve Engel has been studying animal tracks since 1980. He has earned level III Track and Sign Certifications in Minnesota, Oregon, and Washington states through Tracker Certification CyberTracker North America. He holds a B.S. in Natural History from Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA, 1982, and has worked as an environmental educator, field biologist, naturalist, education director, and nature program supervisor for Yosemite National Institutes, HawkWatch International, Lindblad Expeditions, the Audubon Society of Portland, and Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, OR. His life’s mission is helping others see and appreciate the natural world.
