Learn some basic embroidery stitches to embellish a denim outer shell, of a lined and insulated ‘Can Koozie’ that you will create from beginning to end.
You will get lots of help creating a design only original to you and your project. You will just have to know how to thread a needle and sew a straight seam on a sewing machine. Just that easy and you will have a fun new craft project. Sewing machines are available for use at The Ely Folk School.
*If you would like to bring a special fabric for the inside accent, it needs to be a 6" x 10" piece.
About the instructor: Candace Bischoff started her crafting at the age of five when her mother taught her how to knit. Her grandmother introduced her to the sewing machine when she was eight, and she sewed clothing for herself, friends, and acquaintances through high school and college. Candace says, “I love to craft and have tried most media including needlepoint, embroidery cross-stitch, knitting, crocheting, beading, macrame, weaving, quilting, drawing with pencil, ink and colorizing some sketches. I am in the process of teaching my six-year old granddaughter how to knit - a challenge!” Candace looks forward to sharing her many skills with folk school students.
