Tuition: $25  Materials: $30

Join us as we learn the basics of identifying, harvesting, and utilizing some of the most common medicinal herbs in Northern Minnesota. In this hands-on class, students will learn how to identify, harvest, dry, store, and use some of the most common medicinal herbs native to our area. We will meet on the trail near the Folk School to do some foraging for the first portion of class, and then will head to the Folk School for an in-classroom discussion. Students will also work with some freshly harvested herbs and learn to prepare some common remedies with them such as tinctures, teas, and infusions. Each student will take home their own herbal remedy made in class, and a Minnesota Medicinals handbook with photos, step-by-step instructions, and recipes!
