Tuition: $70 Materials: $35
Join the Ely Folk School in learning the basics of working with bark to create beautiful and functional baskets. Birch bark is famously both rot and water resistant, making it a time-honored and practical choice for baskets.
In this class, we will not only create our own baskets to take home, but we will learn about the defining characteristics of birchbark. Baskets made in this class will be straight-sided with an attached bottom.
The materials fee includes everything you'll need to make your own basket. Additional kits will be available for purchase from the instructor.
Note: This class may not run if the minimum number of students is not reached. Please register early.
