Kids Makers Morning

Description

Kids Makers Morning 2023
Fridays, June 16th - August 25th
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Ely Community Resource and Ely Folk School are teaming up for a second summer of Kids Makers Morning!

Each week we will offer a unique creative project. These will be accessible to the wide range of youth attendees and will range from gelli plate printing, poetry, pressing flowers, foraging, making corn husk dolls, creating model canoes out of birchbark, and birchbark weaving. There will also be space for kids to explore and socialize outside of their homes and classrooms. Grant funds from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council will be used to pay weekly instructors and cover materials so that the program may remain free and accessible for families.

Youth will be able to take each week’s project at their own pace and will be given the freedom to express their creativity through any of our resources.

This program is suitable for kids between the ages of 3 and 6 and kids between the ages of 7 and 12.

New this year: We will be capping the number of participants each week at 25. Please register in advance to ensure your child(ren) has a spot in the program!
