Scandinavian Holiday Ornamentation

Description

Monday, December 15th
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Tuition: $35, Materials: $13

Combine two different Scandinavian ornaments in this joint class: the Scandinavian ribbon star and the Himmeli harvest ornament! Scandinavian stars can be made from paper, birch bark, or in this case, ribbon, to make unique folded decorations. Himmeli are Finnish ornaments and mobiles traditionally made from straw, though in this class both manufactured and natural materials will be utilized. Traditionally larger and more elaborate ornaments were made from these basic designs, but many Scandinavian homes still include these simple and delicate ornaments over the family table around the holidays. Use your creations to decorate a Christmas tree, office, dining room, or nursery! The possibilities are endless.
