About your instructor: An inventive and tasteful instrumentalist on both guitar and harmonica, Jason Rabuck is also a thoughtful and adept songwriter, vocalist, and seasoned performer. He likes to improvise, have fun, play off others, and let the sound take shape. Jason’s musicianship kick started by seriously playing the harmonica as a New Year’s resolution in 1988, while attending college in Stevens Point, WI.  His musical style was forged one evening by tuning into the college radio station and discovering blues music through Sneaky Pete’s Blues Café. Around 1989 he picked up the guitar in earnest and delved further into singing.  He wrote his first song in 1991, a rockin’ blues number titled, “Don’t Tell Me.” Beginning in 1993 he performed periodically as a solo act and hosted some open jam nights. In 1996 Jason found a niche with the rockin’ blues band LIVE END – performing  vocals, harmonica, and making his official debut on lead guitar. In 2003 Jason turned energy toward a young family, remodeling his house, and running a farrier (horseshoeing) business. He now resides in Ely, MN on the edge of the Boundary Waters Wilderness.
