Photographing the Aurora

With this class, you will learn everything from A-Z about aurora photography, including necessary camera equipment, lens, initial manual settings and when to change settings, where to shoot, when, and how to capture stunning images. For those with some experience, you will learn tips and tricks using low level lighting for powerful foregrounds and lighting your subjects. This class is aimed at beginners and advanced beginners who have a knowledge of using and changing the manual settings on your camera.
About your instructor: Gregory Ash is a passionate aurora photographer and artist from Duluth (with a cabin on Eagles Nest #3). With 10 separate chases above the arctic circle in Alaska, Iceland, and Norway and from my dock over the last 8 years, he has the experience to teach beginners and those that would like to increase their aurora photography learning curve. His aurora images have been featured numerous times on Spaceweather.com and other publications, including the Washington Post, Ely Echo and Explore Fairbanks Visitor Guide.
