Help us ring in the longest day of the year with this celebration of artistry in our community. Summer solstice is a festival of inner fire-power that expands and brightens our lives. Join Ely poet DyAnne Korda who will read pieces that reflect the season from her forthcoming poetry collection. Join us at The Meadows between 5-6pm to shop and socialize, then gather for some readings and performances starting at 6pm. Come share your own poems, stories or music to celebrate an evening filled with light and abundance. All expressions of creativity are welcome! We encourage other writers and musicians to share what they've been working on, whether that's music, spoken word, poetry, or quotes that have meaning.
We are pleased to be partnering with The Meadows Gallery and Studios; a vibrant hub for local and regional artists to create, showcase, and connect. This collaborative event will take place at The Meadows. Please consider showing them some support by perusing their collection of art by local creatives and perhaps purchasing something from their collection!
DyAnne Korda’s work has been published in several journals including The Wisconsin Academy Review. Her poetry has been broadcast on KAXE Radio’s literary program, Stay Human. Her latest book is The Shore’s Absolute Edge. She offers frequent workshops at Ely Folk School.
