Camp Cooking: Bananas Foster

Nothing is quite as satisfying as eating a great tasting meal made on the campfire of a Boundary Waters canoe trip. Don't get into the trap of bringing pre-packaged meals - backcountry cooking doesn't have to be complicated!

In this class you will learn how to make a bananas foster recipe on the camp stove or campfire.

Students will receive a recipe and expert tips necessary to create and consume their own variation at home. Students need only bring a notebook for ideas, a recipe, and tips learned during class.

 

About your instructor: LynnAnne Vesper has been helping people enjoy the natural world for over 20 years as a guide for canoe and dogsledding trips in the Boundary Waters. She's well versed in cooking on a campstove, fire, and in a kitchen. She also teaches a number of traditional Scandinavian folk classes, such as polka dancing and ice lanterns making, here as well.
