Learn the basics of trail building on this combo nature hike/maintenance class. Kids will explore outside with instructor Ozzie Reif at the location of the new Bog Walk installation on the west side of town! Please meet at the Ely Folk School and we will walk together to the new Trail Center building on the west end of town.
We have 10 available spots for this week's program, recommended for youth ages 9-11.
Our "Creative Kids" summer program will run June-August, and will offer kids the chance to work on a unique creative project. Classes will be aimed either at youth in grades 1-3 or 4-6. Each class will need to be registered for seperately. These classes will range from sewing, cooking, and being creative with natural elements. There will be space for kids to explore and socialize outside of their homes and classrooms.
Youth will be able to take each week’s project at their own pace and will be given the freedom to express their creativity through any of our resources.
This program is sponsored in part thanks to funding support from SHERPA and a variety of donors. Please help support our youth programming by downloading the SHERPA app on your mobile device! Every download contributes additional funding the Ely Folk School's program.
Please register in advance to ensure your child(ren) has a spot in the program!
