Youth Carrot Cake

Kids will enjoy this unique creative project, with space for kids to explore and socialize outside of their homes and classrooms. 

Spend some time at the Ely Folk School with instructor and experienced baker Rosa Oesterreich and practice making carrot cake!

Youth will be able to take each week’s project at their own pace and will be given the freedom to express their creativity through any of our resources.

This program is suitable for kids between the ages of 7 and 12.

About your instructor: Rosa Oesterreich is a mother, midwife, chef, herbalist, artist, and activist. Her family has a horse stable and farm in Ely, Minnesota. She grew up unschooling and remain committed to lifelong learning. Rosa serves on the board of the Ely folk school and the president of the Minnesota coalition of certified professional Midwives. She strives and seeks to cultivate community, joy, creativity, and resilience.
