Ely Folk School Instructor Retreat

Description

Friday and Saturday, November 15 and 16, 2024
Friday 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
$40

Are you a current instructor with the Ely Folk School? We invite you to join us for this year's Instructor Retreat! This weekend will be a chance for teachers, staff, and volunteers to all to gather and bond before the craziness of the holidays sweeps us up. Plan on shared food and drink, opportunities for co-creating, and learning more about the tradition of folk schools. This will be a chance for members to deepen the identity of what it means to be a folk school instructor while enjoying each other's company and celebrating our success so far. The cost of this retreat is $40; this will help us cover a portion of the programming. During the retreat, you receive drinks and hors d’oeuvres on Friday, opt-in breakfast on Saturday (as well as light refreshments throughout the day), and several 1-2 hour workshops that focus on sparking creativity, building connection, and advancing your teaching skills.

As you consider lodging options, be sure to make reservations with enough time in advance; spots go quickly! If you are interested in attending, but securing lodging is a barrier, please reach out. We will coordinate with potential hosts on your behalf. Conversely, if you are a local instructor with extra space and a hospitality hobby, let us know if you are available to host.

We are looking forward to seeing you here soon!
