September is Wilderness Month from Capitol Hill to St. Paul, Ely, and beyond. Join us in celebrating America's natural ecosystems. This fall, organizations, leaders, businesses, and lawmakers from across the country are coming together to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, a landmark conservation bill signed into law on Sept. 3, 1964 and have proclaimed September to be Wilderness Month.

Join us in Ely for a storytelling event in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Wilderness Act featuring Ely-area residents sharing their unique Boundary Waters experiences in Ely's Historic State Theater lounge. This event is a collaboration between Save the Boundary Waters, Boundary Waters Connect, and the Ely Folk School.
