Description
George Floyd Photography Exhibition
Saturday, August 24th from 12:00 - 2:00 PM
Free admission
Stop by this open house exhibition of John Ratzloff's thirteen photographs following the aftermath of George Floyd's murder in Minneapolis in 2020. The images are, for the most part, paintings on 4'x8' sheets of plywood, covering smashed windows from the aftermath of the riots, captured in June 2020.
"I thank all the amazing artists who painted these indelible works of historical art. The art poured out of their devastated and angry hearts and souls onto large formats for the world to understand these powerful images voicing their repression, inequality and unjust pain and suffering of people of color, especially Blacks. Their work speaks volumes. I wonder how it will speak to you." -John Ratzloff
