We have 10 available spots for this week's program for youth ages 7-12. Registration for this week will open on April 1 and registration is required to reserve your child's space. Walk-ins on Saturday morning will not be accepted.

Each week we will offer a unique creative project. These will be accessible to the wide range of youth attendees and will range from sewing, cooking, and creative with natural elements. There will be space for kids to explore and socialize outside of their homes and classrooms.

This week, spend some time at the Ely Folk School with instructor and experienced baker Hudson Kingston and practice making your own bread! Why should you make your own bread? There are many reasons, but here are a few: it tastes better, you can add your own fun favorite ingredients, homemade bread makes a great gift, and making bread and other tasty treats can be a fun hobby!

Youth will be able to take each week’s project at their own pace and will be given the freedom to express their creativity through any of our resources.

This program is suitable for kids between the ages of 7 and 12.

New this year: Participants need to register for each individual class. Please register in advance to ensure your child(ren) has a spot in the program!

About the Instructor: Hudson Kingston learned to bake with his mom and has been an avid baker for most of his life. Now he is a part-time baker at Crapola, and unofficially the "baguette guy" who makes baguettes for Insula and Crapola customers alike. Though he has worked professionally as a baker for years and has even done a little training at bakeries in France, he's very excited to get back to fundamentals with dough arts and Ely's adventuresome kids.
