If you have ever been out in the wilderness and wondered what you could use from your wild surroundings to address an injury or illness you may find this class of interest. We will focus on how our ancestors used packs and poultices made from plants that grow in our area.

Students should be prepared to walk outdoors, any weather. If available, please bring a small hunting knife with you. The materials fee includes one small notebook for note taking. This class is intended for all ages 10 and up, any skill level.

Herbalism classes taught through the Ely Folk School are led by instructors who have sought out training or education about herbal medicine and are not intended to replace care from medical professionals. These classes are strictly educational, and do not provide treatment, diagnosis, or medical guidance. Attendees acknowledge their responsibility for personal choices.
