Birding by Ear

Description

Saturday, May 18, 2024
7:00 AM - 8:30 AM
Tuition: $20

Birding by ear is a fun and useful skill to develop. Especially here in the Northwoods, where over twenty species of warblers arrive to nest each year. Not to mention the vireos, thrushes, flycatchers, raptors, and woodpeckers!  In this class we learn to match the song with the singer and the sound with the maker while in the field. Five weekly meetings lasting 90 minutes take place at key local sites within 15 miles of Ely. Meet at the Ely Visitor Center, junction of Sheridan Street and Highway 1, at 7 am.  This will be his fourth spring season offering of "Birding by Ear" in the Northwoods.
