Tuition: $48   Materials: $10

*Sliding Scale Available

Spring is right around the corner so let’s make a new Embroidered Spring Bag! We will be semi assembling the bag and beginning your embroidery pattern.  How to do the Stitches  [Stitch booklet: $5.00] and pattern ideas will be supplied with color and pattern design help from Candace.  Final assembly of bag will be arranged with Candace once your embroidery is completed.  Your final bag can be specific to a Grocery tote or Craft Bag or with inside pockets for a Travel bag. Or used as any of these just as a Bag.

*Students must have some sewing experience and be comfortable using a needle and thread.

Participants will need to bring:

An old pair of blue jeans

    1/2 yard lining fabric

1/2 yard very firm iron on interfacing

DMC embroidery floss in the colors of your choice

Embroidery needle [I recommend one with a large eye - easier to thread the needle]

    Scissors

About the instructor: Candace Bischoff started her crafting  at the age of five when her mother taught her how to knit. Her grandmother introduced her to the sewing machine when she was eight, and she sewed clothing for herself, friends, and acquaintances through high school and college. Candace says, “I love to craft and have tried most media including needlepoint, embroidery cross-stitch, knitting, crocheting, beading, macrame, weaving, quilting, drawing with pencil, ink and colorizing some sketches. I am in the process of teaching my six-year old granddaughter how to knit - a challenge!” Candace looks forward to sharing her many skills with folk school students.
